Day of Remembrance

2006
...for those whose names we'll never know...

In mid-2006, Erin Lindsey came up with the theme for this year's Day of Remembrance vigils.  The idea being that we would show each of our transgendered or body swapped characters as children in their birth genders.  Each comic would then use a slur when describing what that child would be, seen through a bigot's eyes.

Starting with eighteen comics, we eventually expanded to twenty-four, including one multi-part story and a photography exhibit.  Several entries went on display as part of the trans//face exhibit at the Bluestockings Bookstore in New York.
